Terms & Conditions

Cancellations, Missed Sessions, Late Arrival:

If you are unable to attend a session, for whatever reason, please let me know as soon as possible as this allows me the opportunity to fill in the time slot that was reserved for you.

If you cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled session, there will be no cancellation fee. If, however, you notify me with less than 2 days’ notice, the full session fee will be invoiced.

I fully appreciate that ‘life happens’ and that might mean that sometimes you might turn up late. This means that we may just have to work with whatever time is left in our session.

Payment of Fees:

Payment of Fees: The fee per session is €70.00. Payment can be made at the end of each session, either by cash, bank transfer or Revolut. Payment is due within 24 hours of the end of our session.

Confidentiality:

Confidentiality is paramount in psychotherapy. In working together, whatever we discuss remains confidential. However, if during therapy, you disclose harmful thoughts with the intent to action, whether towards yourself or someone else, or I have strong reason to believe that this is your intent, and I’m concerned about your or someone else’s safety, I will be bound to action and in certain situations, information may be shared with others. Risk to Self or Other:

If I assess that a client is a risk to themselves or others, I will contact the client’s GP and/or nominated emergency contact person. In the case of immediate harm to self or others I may ring an ambulance.

Child Protection:

Counsellors and psychotherapists are designated as Mandated Persons under the Children First Act (2015) and as such are required by law to report child protection concerns (current or historic) to Tusla, the Child and Family Agency. This means that if you tell me about harm to a child past or present, I am required by law to pass this information on to Tusla. This is also the case, if you tell me about harm that happened to you as a child or in the past. It will then be your choice to speak with Tusla or not.

If we see each other in public, I will not initiate contact by approaching you or greeting you. I will follow your lead (in an effort to uphold your confidentiality).

Supervision:

As part of my work and to ensure I maintain best practice, I attend regular supervision. The purpose of supervision is to improve the quality of the work I do with my clients.
